
The quartet may not have anything to say involving politics, but the themes in World War III can definitely be applied to struggles in every day life and there is at least one track on the album that will relate to anyone.

The album slows and comes to a close with “The Great Divide”, a very short cry for change and the inability to move on.Īside from a misleading title, World War III is a solid effort by Madina Lake, as it proves that the band can cover multiple genres of rock music. In April 2011, Madina Lake confirmed that they had left Roadrunner records and signed with Sony. The group finds it’s inter-All Time Low with “Fireworks” and “Heroine”, the first painting an intimate setting with a borderline arrogant attitude about being able to please the opposite sex.īut the mood turns dark with “Blood Red Flags”, alternating with grungy verses, with an oxymoronic chorus that screams “Honestly, honesty is for liars”. The group continues the pace through “Imagineer”, and let’s out a little pop in “They’re Coming For Me”. Madina Lake bursts out of the gate with “Howdy Neighbor!”, which tackles the issue of domestic violence stemming from a low self-esteem coupled with greed.
